The Leisure Centre at Cambounet Sur Sor :

Built in the ancient sand pits of Cambounet, the Leisure Centre offers sailing, canoeing, fishing and other activities.

Lac de Saint Ferréol :

Approximately 12 kilometres from the Chateau, a stone’s throw from Revel, you will find the Lac de Saint Ferreol. In 1662 Pierre-Poul Riquet presented his plan to build a canal joining the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. The Lac de Saint Ferreol, which is used to feed the Canal du Midi with water, covers 64 hectares and is the oldest artificial Lac in Europe. The area abounds with tourist activities: sailing, fishing, go-karts, horseriding and walking. Since 1994 the Canal de Midi and its buildings have been World Heritage Listed.

Barrage des Cammazes :

Built in 1955 and opened in 1956, the weir controls the course of the River Sor. The weir provides drinking water for the people who live on the plain of Revel and also controls the flow of water into Lac de St Ferreol.
Swimming and water sports are banned.

Lac du Lampy :

Higher up in the mountains you will find Lac du Lampy. The area is much less developed than St Ferreol. Swimming is not supervised and there are no tourist facilities.
Lac du Lampy is an excellent starting point for walking tours into the Black Mountains.
